New Blog

Tomorrow, I should be transferring this domain here: https://christinabarrett1986fl.wordpress.com.

Solution

I'm getting better.  I think I've learned to ignore some things.

Problem

They are just making people feel good who don't get relationships I have.

Problem

Doesn't my life matter now, in some ways?  What does my future hold, in such a way?

Problem

Everyone keeps wanting me to feel like I can't have relationships and don't deserve anything they don't have.  I didn't ask.

Violin

I wanted to play violin when I was 6 years old.

Violin

These last 2 of 3 years I've taken violin, I've struggled with the bow because I damaged the nerves in my hands and arms, when I was upset and hit the wall and table.  I might finally have it, at least at the level I'm at.  It's better I can teach myself now, so I can pace myself and work on more songs at a time.  I feel stopping piano also took away talent.  I didn't practice violin enough, maybe, but in some ways I think it might be what some people do, especially who do other things.  When I did piano, there wasn't as much to practice, at first.  I was with 1 violin teacher for 2 years, and she said, if I say I've taken violin for more than 2 years, I would not be a beginner.

My Hands and Nails

I did gymnastics as a kid, so my hands seem kinda poofy and filled up.  The nails sorta stretch out.  I accidentally cut the ring fingernails too short as a kid.  It seems the rest might be compensation.  I fear they are not typical to the specificity of violin.  Yes, they are good for piano and organ.  I know, too, my thumbs stopped growing but stretched out to reach an octave when I started piano at age 9.  I grew a lot in my total body hight until I turned 12.

Music

I'm learning violin, and I'm enjoying it very much now that I teach myself.

If I have to chose a different instrument, I was thinking either piano or organ, again, since they used to be my major.
